How Email Submit CPA Offers Work and How to Avoid Scrubbing Forever (By Luthando)

You may already know this, but many “email submit” offer owners (advertisers) can make upwards of 4 figures a day just by advertising through CPA networks and leveraging other affiliates promoting their offer.

What is Scrubbing?

If you have been accepted to any CPA networks as an affiliate then you probably have seen hundreds of offers that pay you around $1.50 just for an email. But what you may not know is that you “as an affiliate” could be losing huge commissions due to advertiser “scrubbing” which is basically when the advertiser does not pay you for a lead.

You could easily be losing up to 10% or much more of your commissions because of it which is why many people have started making their own email submit offers and signing up as an advertiser instead of a publisher.

So how do email submits work?

When you as an affiliate log into your CPA account you may see a bunch of “email submit offers” from advertisers. When you click on the offer’s landing page you see that the advertiser is asking for the user’s email address for some type of gift, and the advertiser is paying so much money for those leads. Some of that money is given to you as an affiliate, and some of the money is given to the CPA network you work for who act as a “middle man”.

In all actuality those leads that you got are only the start of a sales funnel or sales path process that the traffic goes through. This is the same with zip submits. The advertiser is paying you so he/she can send the lead into the “sales funnel” or “path” in the backend.

SO what is the “back end”?

Once the lead enters an email on the advertisers landing page they are usually sent to a second page which asks the lead for more information including info on where to ship the free gift (ie Free Walmart Gift Card).

This 2nd page asks for more details and often includes a check box that asks them to also sign up to a “co-registration offer”. Anyone can find co-reg offers on some CPA networks and other networks. If the lead checks “YES” then the advertiser would get paid for this co-reg as soon as the lead submits the form. This could likely offset the cost to the advertiser for the lead and essentially they just got a free lead and can market to this person forever.

The 3rd page in the path would include more intelligence gathering about the lead to ultimately send them to the final landing page with more CPA offers or affiliate offers. So the third page could have a question and answer and based on the answer the user clicks on, it would send them to an appropriate landing page with another CPA or affiliate offer or several offers.

So here is a sample path the lead follows:

Your Affiliate Traffic

Lead lands on Advertisers Page

Lead enters Email (you get paid maybe %80 – %90 of the time due to scrubbing)

Lead is asked for more info and co-reg offer check box

Lead is sent to short survey

Lead is sent to appropriate landing page with affiliate offers based on previous answers

Lead is sent several follow up emails

Lead is sold to other company

As you can see the advertiser has plenty of opportunity to make much more than $1.50 off of that qualified lead. Also most advertisers actually scrub leads in the back end meaning they don’t pay you for them!

Where do you fit in & should you make your own email submit offer?

Of course owning your own offer and having hundreds of affiliates promoting is definitely a great way to leverage the power of affiliates, and a great way to get enormous traffic numbers.

Here is something I think you need to consider before setting up your own email submit.

If you are promoting a CPA email submit offer as an affiliate right now and the network is happy with your traffic then you are in fact making money for the Advertiser or email submit offer owner.

With that information in mind you could then look at the advertisers sales path and copy it or make something similar since you already know it is working for your traffic source, and that the funnel or path in fact works!

Then you could set up your own similar path and CPA offer and leverage the power of thousands of potential affiliates promoting your sales path.

What Else You Need To Consider?

The entire process of setting all this up may sound confusing but once it is set up there is definitely potential for some major profits. There are several other things you need to know before getting started with your own CPA offers. Some of these things include how to set up a profitable sales path, how to properly track leads, how to set up co-reg offers, and how to get your offer on the CPA network, and how scrubbing works.
